We are back from Florida and it feels good to be home! Isn’t that how it always is towards the end of a trip? We didn’t have time to do blog pictures for everything I wore, but I did capture a few on Instagram. I was telling Mike the other day that I wish there was a way I could see what I will wear on a trip ahead of time, so I don’t end up bringing stuff that I don’t use, lol. Obviously that can’t happen but I can’t stand packing stuff that I don’t use, especially travels that require flying.
I did pretty much live in dresses the whole week which are so easy to pack, but let’s be honest, none of that workout gear got used.
So it was my first time in Florida and it was hot! And locals kept telling us we came at a perfect time before it got really hot. The temperature would say it was only about 85 outside but it felt like 15 degrees hotter than that- almost like the California 85 is not the same as Florida’s 85 if that even makes sense. Miami beach was beautiful and I sure did enjoy the warm ocean. I couldn’t even remember the last time I got into the ocean because the water is always cold on the West Coast. We were there during spring break so it was pretty wild as you can image, same with Key West. We rented scooters one day in Key West which was a lot of fun and made site seeing a little easier. I was literally drenched in sweat after though! We were going to rent a boat to go snorkeling but the day we had planned for it, it was too windy so no one was taking boats out. I was a little nervous anyway because of the crazy things in the water, but Mike was looking forward to it so I felt bad we didn’t get to do it. I guess that will have to wait until next time!
