Lemon Cake Bites

Happy Father’s Day! I haven’t made a traditional cake in a very long time, doesn’t it seem like they’re kind of out dated? Well anyways, I was at the store and happened to see some vanilla almond bark, which I knew was the outside ingredient, so that was when I decided to whip up a batch of cake bites. These are the same as cake pops, I just didn’t add the stick. They are so delicious, too delicious actually, and definitely not healthy (just to warn you) You can mix any cake mix flavors and frosting as you like, this is what I decided to use:
1 box of Lemon Cake Mix (or any flavor)
1 container of funfetti frosting (or any flavor)
1 package of vanilla almond bark
Directions:
Bake cake according to box directions
Let cool completely
After cooled, crumble cake and transfer to a bowl
Add the container of frosting to bowl and mix together
Form 1 inch balls from batter and place on a cookie sheet
Place cookie sheet in refrigerator for 2 hours so they harden
Place almond bark on stove in sauce pan, on low, until melted (be careful not to burn)
Remove cake balls from refrigerator and dip each one into the melted almond bark
Place them back on the cookie sheet and refrigerate for another hour
Voila! Enjoy!
(keep them stored in refrigerator)
