Wine Tasting in Carmel Valley

A few weeks ago we had so much fun staying in Carmel and doing some wine tasting! We went for the weekend as part of a trip Mike earned through his company, so the events for the weekend were already planned ahead of time which made it nice because we just had to show up and have fun.

I had never been wine tasting in Carmel Valley before but we really enjoyed the whole experience and Carmel is just the cutest.

I used to visit quite a bit when I was in high school because my parents liked going there and to Monterey for day trips. Since then, I really hadn’t visited the area in a long time besides last summer when we drove through to get to Big Sur. It was a rainy day but it always seemed to stop when it was time for us to get out of the trolley and walk around. I found this French bakery on Yelp and it ended up being in walking distance to our hotel, so stopping by before wine tasting was a must. Plus I had already decided I was going to break my diet for it ? I knew it would be too hard to stay on the Keto Diet during our trip anyway, so go big or go home….which I did. The pastries were totally worth it and it’s not just because it was the first time I had had carbs or sugar in weeks, lol. Mike said “you know it’s the real deal when all the tables are dusted in flour”lol.

I kept my outfits pretty simple on our trip, but I do wear a lot of graphic tees on regular days. This t shirt is so cute and under $20! It’s also really soft and runs a little big. I usually wear a small, sometimes a medium but I’m used to purchasing my graphic tees from TopShop, which run small, so I went with a medium. Well that was a mistake because it’s way too big and then I washed it in hot water hoping to shrink it and it just made the lettering fade instead. Long story short, I just ordered another one in size small.

Thanks for reading!
